From Ames to the Bighorns
Aaron Wood is the new Director of ISU’s Field Camp in Wyoming. He'll direct operations and teach at the field camp in the summer, and cultivate additional uses of the site while teaching at ISU during the academic year.

Geological pioneers
In addition to their preeminent professional contributions, the Smiths have also been loyal friends to Iowa State University. Their gifts have made a remarkable impact on faculty hiring, equipment upgrades, and enhancements to the geology field camp experience for Iowa State students. Late Winter Motif
Originally from southeastern Pennsylvania, E.A. Giorgi is a second-year MFA candidate in ISU’s program in Creative Writing and Environment. She wrote this poem last winter for a poetry workshop at ISU, inspired by the crows she saw flying to campus on winter nights as I came into class.
